I'd really love to try a WP10 phone some day but what about app support? Will that ever be fixed? Many say that WP is a dead platform.
It's pretty dead yeah and support on apps isn't that great for those I've used on my work Win8 phone. I was walking round Kobe trying to find our company office and tried to use the Map included with the phone and guess what... there were no maps for Japan at all... i mean I can understand China or North Korea but Japan seriously :3eyes: (Also South Korea). So I tried Google maps and that crashes now (bear in mind it never used too back when i first used the phone) over and over again. I had to end up with some other random 3rd party app "just" to get a freaking map of Kobe & Tokyo. Also as far as business apps go on this they are somewhat lackluster, fire up Concur on iOS or 'droid and you can do all sorts of expenses stuff on the fly. With the Win phone however you can upload a photo... i mean it's piss poor in comparison. The Win OS is actually good and I even like the style of it such as being able to have a background image over the tiles which looks really slick. Sadly the app support just isn't there, and if it is it's seems to be more of an afterthought than a full bit of effort for dev's. In my opinion though I wouldn't have one for personal use if you expect to use plenty of apps since there isn't much compared to iOS or Android, as a business device though it's doing pretty good with Lync 2013 & skype support, Office 365 and one drive plus it's a doddle to set up for exchange email profiles. As I said at work a long time ago MS should have bought up RIM and their BES technology and they could have owned the business market.
