All of the above for a small price of 1500 , adding taxes 1800 ... Let's round about 2000 🙁(( .... What can push 4k 144 ... Maybe the Nvidia from 2023 - 2025 !

2080ti sli works great in BF V. 150+ fps on average in 4k. IF the cpu is good enough.

you can still game 4k at 100 or 75 hz. Still better than 60. I'm not sure if is future proof, when a single videocard can do 4k at 100hz, i wonder what kind of screens we will have.

There are many games that can be played at that resolution and average frame rate, older games and many new games.(not triple A)

Is it Hdmi 2.1? 🙂

Most people buy monitors for more than just now. I tend to use them for quite a number of years, especially when they are this expensive. I'm assuming that graphics hardware in the next few years will be able to saturate a 4K 144Hz display, maybe not for all games, but at least for a significant portion of them.

Now that's worthy monitor

This looks like a great monitor. Probably it has an edge lit screen seeing it's not that "expensive".

Almost 20 years now and we're still stuck with LCDs. 4K and 144Hz isn't gonna fix this: https://i.imgur.com/4DpjcpA.jpg
yep, its quite depressing how most screens i only use to text can sweep the floor with my gaming-movie watching ones, and instead of going OLED-MICROLED for good, they just keep pushing yet more band-aid fixes for LCD to compensate

Nope, but has DP 1.4 which should be enough.

There are fundamental problems with both OLED and MicroLED that need to be solved before we use them in mass. Despite what LG claims OLED still has a burn-in issue and LG is probably the furthest along at solving it. MicroLED costs a metric ton to manufacture at scale. Both technologies have tons of money being thrown at them, so inevitably one will win out and become the next standard but sometimes throwing money at problems doesn't solve it. Just need to get lucky engineering breakthroughs.

Do you guys think the 3080Ti will be able to push 4k 60FPS + with modern games at highest settings? I was looking at buying the new LG 38GL950G-B https://www.lg.com/us/monitors/lg-38GL950G-B-gaming-monitor but its like $1800 and only HDR400. I liked that it is 3840x1600 though, with the extra 160 horizontal. Just not sure how well my EVGA 2080Ti FTW3 Ultra Hybrid will drive that. I'm use to the higher frame rates I get on my current Samsung 32CHG70 144Hz that has Freesync 2 HDR. HDR and Gsync work on this monitor with my 2080Ti even though its not on the "certified" list. Not sure I want another sub-par HDR400 screen though especially for $1800. Also not sure if I will like Ultra Wide Screen. This screen looks like it could be a good alternative as I plan to pick up a 3080Ti when they release, and its actually cheaper than the LG though its VA panel and not IPS. I am used to VA at this point though as I have had this Samsung one since it release a couple years ago. Will probably need to see some reviews of both the LG one and this Acer one to make up my mind. I always hate the whole lottery on getting a good panel these days every time I buy a monitor. I got 2 of the Samsung 32CHG70 now and they are both pretty good after I had to RMA one of them because it had a beam of light that started to bleed from the right edge, the replacement has been great. So I will want to see some reviews on how the build quality is. There are definitely a huge amount of gaming monitors releasing recently. Edit: I had an afterthought on this as well. If this supports Adaptive Sync I wonder if it would work with XBox One X VRR over HDMI like the new LG TVs or if its only supporting VRR over Displayport.

Says this in the article; In addition, the CG437K also supports a variable refresh rate (VRR) via HDMI to provide smooth gaming on Xbox One consoles.

It's hard to say because the requirements of games will change. With new consoles launching next year will the default still be looking for 60fps @ 1080p? Or will developers forgeo graphics improvements in attempt to get 60 @ 4K with current graphics levels and just rely on resolution? If it's the latter than next gen PC graphics cards should start pushing over that 60/4K envelope. But if it's the former and game devs start utilizing higher quality shaders and whatnot then all it's going to do is push the requirements up.

4 x the price of a normal 40'' 4k TV , rather buy a better vga card 😱
