Your devices require vendor driver updates, or simply will never run with 4G decoding properly, the asmedia chipset probably craps itself.
well, i can't find anything newer or more compatible... got any ideas?
Astyanax:

look in msconfig and turn off PCI Lock. also do NOT turn on the PNP OS setting within the bios, if such an option is present.
pci lock was already off. i cant find a pnp setting within the bios. maybe its not exposed? it is mentioned in the manual, but only once...

Last week when the RX 6800 series graphics cards got released, a feature called SAM (Smart Access Memory) was enabled to select X570 motherboards in combination with a Ryzen 5000 series processor and ... New AGESA BIOS Updates enables AMD Smart Access Memory functionality for X470 and B450
Hello, can anyone tell if there are many cases of total motherboard failure under this beta bios, when used with previous Ryzen CPUs like 3000, 2000 and 1000 series? Or if there is a way to save bios under a different name or some kind of failure protection mode. I know that ASUS recommends not updating, but it seems that many have managed to use the new bios with their 3000 and 2000 cpus, and even with the first ryzen. In particular I have two systems with X470, one with an MSI x470 gaming plus and r7 1800x and the other with an ASUS prime X470 and R53600x ... I have one last question. in case everything goes well with this asus x470 / R53600x system, would I have any gain in transferring VRAM with a SLI GTX 1080? thanks in advance.

Hopefully they will release a bios with the new AGESA but without the SAM support so we get the benefits of the new functions on the 400 series chipsets. The X450 and X470 bios with 5000 series support will most likely remove support for older chips so it will be a judgement call on whether to flash or not depending on the chip you plan to use.
In my case it didn't on my ASRock B450m Pro 4. I'm using version 4.60 that was released on Nov 19th with my 1600 AF and its working fantastic, though I was nervous about doing it.
