That's basically a TOS question just as mine. They might argue that one's supposed to use it only in a single location (my approach) or on a single device (your's maybe?) but both requirements from Netflix don't stand the test I'd say. I did not read the terms of service, but honestly, I'm not sure how they will ever have a legal way to force me to watch only in one location or on one device. But I also do not have a lawyer at hand that just waits for me to (counter-) sue a billion dollar international company.
They make their legitimate users do a weekly pass thing where you get a code and you can use the account for a week from anywhere. This makes it too inconvenient for people who share, and too inconvenient for the ones who don't too... but why not sacrifice a few people as most will use it only at one address.

While I agree with you, I have to add, even 10% lost users are bothersome for Netflix. If you remember the drama about Netflix having account numbers dropping for the first time in a long time just "recently". It's not a totally ignorable scenario. But I guess in the long run the whole world and their mums succeed with such tactics, and subscription models are everywhere and growing anyway. I might be waiting for a historically teaching moment though 😀

it might not mater to then streaming services are no longer as cheap as they where, so they might not care and raise prices more anyway

Yeah, but unfortunately people are far too easily ready to bend over and accept anything. It looks like they are making more profit after using this tactic in Canada than what they're losing. Miss the old days when you could go to the video store and rent a movie for 3$, it wasn't perfect but it was a fun experience. Streaming rentals are now significantly more expensive even it costs next to nothing to upload it and they won't even bother adding high quality audio with those streams. The more convenient things get, the worst they get for some reason.

Charging extra is ok. 5 EUR (yes, 5 EUR in Germany) seems a bit steep for my mum watching one movie every few months, though.

I saw "extra charges" and my brain read the first word as Nvidia not Netflix automatically.
Well if Nvidia was to handle this they would rise the basic tier to premium and turn the 24fps films to 48 with fake frames between claiming you get twice as much movie watching and then double the price cause of it ! Meanwhile they will release nothing on the basic tier !
