Looks great, love the thin bezel. Only downside are the inputs, not enough...

This is just a rebrand of the LG 29EA93-P. Same exact panel, specs, and resolution.

The price tag... X___X Or is this a reasonable price?

Display electronics can differ drastically, as has been shown with the new revision of that same LG monitor. Multiple flaws fixed with a different revision for the exact same panel. The Apple Cinema Display and the Korean 27" monitors use the same panel but different grades as well; just providing an example of another difference.

And don't forget the Dell and AOC models. 4 manufacturers using same panel now.

The 21.9 aspect ratio monitors are fine for everything except gaming. The height of the viewing area is only 12 inches. Way too narrow, even for race sims.

Dell is using a diffrnt panel, or maybe its using and old revision of the lg? cause it has a 14ms response time where as the dell is 5.

response times is way to slow on ips still which why i dont have them. I dont care how nice the picture is or color if it all looks terrible to me as soon as things are moving semi fast

If this is just a rebranded LG with its latest firmware it should be 5ms..... Hilbert Think you can get your hands on one of these Ultra wides and do a review? Im going to be getting on by years end.. Just not sure what one..

What do you run that needs anything faster then 2ms? Unless your using 3d glasses there should be no difference the human eye can see. If 2 or even 5 ms is noticeable maybe you have a latency issue with your pc, be it dpc or some other?!

I know this, but generally speaking the most you'll see is a unique OSD, and sometimes manufacturers will try to play with pixel overdrive and such.

GTG response times aren't really indicative of the monitor's actual response rate in realistic scenarios. Some monitors out there quote 5ms GTG response times, but actually have real life response times closer to 15/16ms. Lower end IPS panels are notorious for this.

And here I feel the opposite. The super-wide field of view is great for shooters and sims but terrible on the desktop. I think it's a valid choice for people who want a wider view than 16:9 but don't want to mess with multiple monitors and bezel correction. I was considering the Dell version in fact, but opted for to spend less and go 16:9 and gain 360 pixels on the vertical while still maintaining the option to run 2560x1080 via a custom resolution.
