And it's ONLY $3,699.00! An 4k monitor would be cheaper.

USB... 2.0? K. So it's a 10 bit 30" panel with (relatively) fast response time for 3.7K. NEC need to gtfo. Always expect a bloated price tag on anything that has professional use. ... But just because it's meant for professional use doesn't mean they have to go out of their way to make it as ugly as feasibly possible.

Well if you want something more affordable the EIZO CX Series is the only way. I'm using a CX240 myself which i payed €900,- for. My previous Monitor also had Adobe RBG, and once you're used to that you don't want anything else.

Does this one RGB LEDs instead of white? Just that would give a huge increase in colour quality/rendering. Edit: Just saw over the net and yes it uses some kind of rgb lighting, a thing that all monitors could bring since the beginning, if it wasn't for the manufacturers greed...

My brother-in-law is a radiologist. Trust me when I say this monitor is inexpensive compared to what's out there for doctors to use when examining x-rays of patients. Monitors can easily go to the $15K mark depending on size and resolution. And resolution is the key feature for these types of monitors. A doctor doesn't want to miss anything in an x-ray!
