I do not understand these specifications ... Was it not for each launch to try to improve? Clock +50Mhz, Gpu capado and 192 bit of memory with the same speed ... 5 to 10% more performance?

Nothing to see here, just a version created for selling leftover defective chips...

I would have expected this to happen with an imminent 2060 launch tbh.

Does this one support SLI?

gddr5x 8ghz vs gddr5 9ghz? This is worse product than a RX590.

Not really, some games have same FPS, not even an improvement. 590 RX is the absolute king of mid range at the moment. That 1060 is a rip off.

Probably not, since the limitation came from Nvidia? It has the fingers, but I guess it won't work? edit: Their homepage does not mention SLI in any way, so I guess no.

Wonder how this will be priced.

This only shows that 1060 stock are still plenty and 2060 is still not yet ready.

I don't see a homepage for this product. As to if SLI works, that really depends on if the product we are physically seeing here is the actual product, if so, i'd say yes, since it'd only cost MSI more to keep the SLI connectors on the board, then to keep them off. This may be the true difference between GDDR5 and GDDR5x 1060, SLI capability, if this holds to be true. But i am reluctant to believe the photos shown here are of the actual card, and MSI has no product page. Edit: Looks like a Palit model also has SLI connectors, and Gigabyte, so either all manufacturers are simply using older PCBs laying around, and are going to infuriate people who want to SLI given the fact the SLI connectors are there, or this version of the cards will have SLI.

Ah ok... now I get it. This is not 1060 with GDDR5X. This is half of 1080 with 3/4 of its memory

Just like 960 was 980 cut in half.

Probably not and since SLI is dead, who cares anyway? Only people with more money than sense even consider SLI, it's pointless and little more than a gimmick (which also doesn't work 90% of the time btw).

70-80% of modern, big release games support SLI, with some more added in there that would increase the percentage for the ones you have to tweak to make work. Typically, you'll get anywhere from 50%-90% FPS improvement, and for 4K, that's pretty dang important. It sounds like you have a lot of opinions about something you don't use and therefore don't have experience with, or had a bad experience with because you didn't know what you were doing. You seem to have a lot of negative feelings for something you supposedly don't care about.

Depend where, the RX 590 is more expensive than RX 580 in here 🙁 The RX 580 have just reached descent price and they put the RX 590 at old RX 580 price... wich is around 100 Euro more than GTX 1060, and the new GTX 1060 is just 10 Euro more than the old. Also Vega 56 is nearly at the same price (depending of the brand) than the RX 590... maybe it is a better choise.
