I had a 1080 non Ti, but I was lucky enough to get a 3080 FE for MSRP a few months ago.
Need to update the vbios to enable re-size bar.

i really dont know but that sounds exactly right, whea event id's are 5 and 42, i always get these. when it happens, my 6tb hdd and sata ssd freezes for about 15 second, they disappear from task manager, then come back, but my nvme and 3tb hdd stays no matter what, very strange. when i was using b450 this didnt happen once.
Yes this is the storahci reset error, from what I understand it's putting the AHCI link to sleep and that is causing a reset error and then the AHCI link wakes up, I was noticing it when watching video's, the video would freeze and then continue after the AHCI link link woke up again. The workaround is as follows. In the registry navigate to the following location. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power\PowerSettings\0012ee47-9041-4b5d-9b77-535fba8b1442\0b2d69d7-a2a1-449c-9680-f91c70521c60 Set attributes REG_D_WORD to 2, default is 1 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power\PowerSettings\0012ee47-9041-4b5d-9b77-535fba8b1442\dab60367-53fe-4fbc-825e-521d069d2456 Set attributes REG_D_WORD to 2, default is 1 Now go to Windows power plan, then in Advanced power settings. Under Hard disk change AHCI Link Power Management – HIPM/DIPM to Active Under Hard disk, change Turn off hard disk after change to Never Under Hard disk, change AHCI Link Power Management – Adaptive to 0 millisecond Then restart windows, and now the link state will not shut off causing the error. https://i.imgur.com/7YtvxrC.jpg

So this is what causes that freezing up occasionally regarding HDD?(m.2 is fine) oh boy the PCIE 4 glitch is bigger then I thought.

It didn't for me and my MSI x570 Unify. My USB is still malfunctioning my Audio channels still glitch and mix up on my SB AE-5 plus 1.2.0.2 resolved no issues for me and infact my audio glitches are much worse now.
In my case it's not worse but the audio issue on USB devices is still there. ( MSI X570 ACE) I still have my old mainboard and CPU and tested the same devices (Logitech USB headphones, SB AE-5 ) and they are working fine there (Gigabyte B450 Elite). As they released it as Beta, let's wait a little more. Maybe they'll fix it eventually. πŸ˜‰ BTW - RAM memory OC is less stable (can't OC above 3466Mhz, when on the older BIOS 3600MHz was fully stable)

This is cool, thanks. However, since I am only using Zen 2 cpu's, I have decided to stay with Agesa 1.2.0.0 and no further. (Two Asus boards and one MSI board.) I have, at least so far, had no usb issues.

Zen 2 has the same usb issue.
Well, I have experienced none of that so I will remain at 1.2.0.0, since it appears to do the best for my setup.

It's in combination with certain hardware and certain BIOS settings. With some BIOS settings I can make it fail to detect the hardware id of my webcam and be really slow to initialize my keyboard. If your system runs fine there is no reason to update. πŸ™‚

MSI are bunch of assholes. Every-time new BIOSes come out this is the list the one posted above and im always sidlenied to wait. I got second most expensive board x570 Creation, yet they release bioses for the most expensive godlike and then all the cheap trash model but I have to wait sometimes up to month for my Bios.
I imagine that’s due to the extra stability required of a creators board in their eyes. upon looking at the boards page they have had 1.2.0.2 out since the 12th.
