close but no cigar. it's still slower. it has dlss tho so in the long run, this card will live longer. it's a nice card, but like itpro said, not at this price.this feels more like 3050ti,as mentioned before.$280 msrp should be fine for this.
Have feeling there will be a 6gb version at around $250-270. Nvidia is just waiting to see how well RX 6700 (also 6gb) performs and at what price.

that 12gb vram on that 1080pish card is slap to the face of 3070 owners . Period.

Yeah, I can't say I'd be impressed by this. The mythological 3060 Ti is a far better choice. That being said, the stores are selling these 3060 models for well over 500 euros, which is so ridiculous that it's already rediculous.

Looks like there is room for a 3060 Super.

This. It was a trick from nvidia to make gamers happy. No mining for a gpu nobody wants. 3060 super will game and mine better. Hahahahaha hahaha!!!

Airbud:

1-8 pin connector = 150W This card = 175W
Exactly. 1 would be enough!

3060 6g 3060 12g 3060 super 3060 ti looks pretty standard for nvidia, they like to have a card every $30 dollars in this segment. not like this is ever going to be available to gamers.

The only thing i like about the 3060 is 175w and 12gb of vram. Instead of being 30 fps behind the 3060Ti in BFV it could of had a bit more performance like 10-15 fps less than Ti. It's a shame that we might of got rid of miners here but the scalpers are licking their lips again. Maybe i'll order 10 myself and do the same. Just for you for sale today starting at £500...........

Airbud:

Except that it can draw up to 75 watt through the pcie port, meaning 225 watt total with a single 8 pin.

All 3060 cards should be revoked from having the "guru3d recommended" badge at the end of each review. Surely I won't ever recommend those 3060 to anyone. Price/consumption/performance ratio is unhealthy almost suicidal.
https://forums.guru3d.com/data/avatars/m/282/282473.jpg
gotta wait for super, while this isn't "suicidal",it isn't a good buy by any stretch of imaginaiton.
https://forums.guru3d.com/data/avatars/m/281/281256.jpg
so all these 3060s tested Today are within a 1-2% variance which is acceptable testing fluctuations yet they claim to be OC or triple yada yada yada it would be nice if the actual expected retail price without the scalpers effect was also compared, I did the same with my 3090 and bought the "worst" card on the market according to some yet it manages to beat most others out there (no its not a open invite to compare ) it would be great for websites to really dig into the so called extra performance being asked for some products eg an Asus is worth more than brand x because..... and really do some investigation into what I believe is false marketing. First we need cards though!

Airbud:

1080ti was released March 2017 longevity of 1080ti will never be matched...I wish I had one now.
I was just looking at that now. I bought a 1070ti in late 2018 after stuff started coming out about the 20xx series for $350. Looks like I could sell that card for about $500 right now. That just ain't right.
https://forums.guru3d.com/data/avatars/m/234/234691.jpg
So, I paid my 3060 Ti 9% cheaper than a 3060, and have a 25-35% performance advantage. Essentially, it's a 34 to 43% worst deal than if you had jump in the bandwagon earlier with a 3060 Ti...

BLEH!:

Exactly. 1 would be enough!
I stand corrected.
data/avatar/default/avatar32.webp
So, the cheapest 3060 here costs 796 euro and Asus Strix is 850 euro. I bought my 2070 Super for 610 euro.

Under welming and overpriced even at msrp :/

Skimping on vram for cards that could use it and just so they can claim the opposite they throw 12gb on a very disappointing --60 card.
