disappointing card. I checked computerbase and ppc for performance summary, they have 3060ti at 1.32x faster than this and 2070 super 1.12x faster. first 106 die that loses so severely to previous nerfed 104. Even a cut-down 2060 left 1070ti behind. vram doesn't matter if performance is low.

This is the worse x060 card generation in a recent memory. Vram configuration, performance, price are just awful. Nvidia just dosnt care. Hopefuly rx6700 series wont be such a disappointment.

why are you complaining about vram configuration for this ? 12g 192-bit is actually more than enough for a gpu this powerful and is the only saving grace for a gpu that barely beats 2060 super. they're putting 256-bit on 6900xt and no one is complaining. they wouldn't swindle me for either of those cards tho. 6700 is same 192-bit but half capacity.

Not much better than the 2060 Super/2070 and the power consumption is only slightly lower... Very disappointing performance/watt when taking into consideration the other 3000 series cards.

I can agree with all of you, this card is disappointing... Why the heck this card needed to come with this cut down memory configuration instead of keeping the 256bit/8GB? This card should be called RTX 3050Ti

Why does it have 2 8 pins for a power draw of under 200 W???

More fantasy GPUs

Sidegrade much? What a boring card. RIP 2021 gaming. ... unless crypto crashes hard sometimes this year and market is flooded with 2nd hand cards of all ages and types, forcing oems and retail to drop price on their new cards if they want to sell anything.

Truly underwhelming performance for the price, in fact, it's pathetic. This should have been the RTX3050 or RTX3050Ti

I would really buy this card for 249$.

I agree wholeheartedly with the other comments, if you could get the 3060 or the 3060ti for their recommended retail price of $329 and $399 respectively it just makes sense to buy the ti. Considering the price and lack of the ti at the moment though, i think there might be bigger availability of these closer to the correct price. Maybe buy one and wait for the price of the bigger cards to come down, then sell it? Poor though. Perhaps the other higher cards have raised our expectations too much.

BLEH!:

Why does it have 2 8 pins for a power draw of under 200 W???
1-8 pin connector = 150W This card = 175W

this doesn't look so good. happy with what i have.

well it's same or better than a 1080ti so it's not "bad" but clearly their "let's release 200 card models" is showing it's limits, some models make no sense if the MSRPs were real no one would buy it

1080ti was released March 2017 longevity of 1080ti will never be matched...I wish I had one now.

Its almost like its made by amd. :P

These are not ordinary times. The 3060, as underwhelming as it is, will sell like hot cakes if at its MSRP. Simply because nothing else exists in that price range *today* (unless rx6700 changes things). Even miners will snap them up, despite halved eth hash rates. There are other cryptos besides eth that make it worthwhile to them.

close but no cigar. it's still slower. it has dlss tho so in the long run, this card will live longer. it's a nice card, but like itpro said, not at this price.this feels more like 3050ti,as mentioned before.$280 msrp should be fine for this.
