If it's anything like Pascal where you could overclock quite high but the performance decreased noticeably. It'd be interesting to see performance over stock.

Funny thing is that this card could have been an "insanely expensive card that smashes price records" but since the 2080Ti series regardless of model already is that...what's left to name the Lightning card?

that stuff is protecting against condensation. so teh parts dont get tooo wet when doin dryIce or nitro OCing...

sincle article mentions that "Gunslinger" and "Littleboy" overclocked it, then posted subsequent screenshots + images ... one would imagine that they used LN2 (as article hints at). rubber is often used in LN2 setups ... as you don't get moisture buildup ... hence the rubber is probably a "custom add-on" rather than a standard spec "out of the box" design. google "liquid rubber" + "liquid rubber paint" ... while I haven't used it in terms of IT/motherboards - have previously used similar at work for "small/intricate rubber work" + custom design (artwork).

Liquid rubber would be much better than plastidip. Also comes off much easier...

Not all that impressed really, wasn't the Strix 2080Ti used as a test bench for the new Ray tracing benchmark from futuremark and that was running over 2.6Ghz.
