What ever happened with RTX 2080 Ti failing VRAM problems? I was one of the people that had the VRAM die after a few weeks. I guess they fixed the issues, or was it not as big a deal as made out to be? Incidentally, it was the first RMA GPU I've ever had I think.

hmmm bad news...we know gddr5 is on it's way out if not already over, thus the gddr6 on that one but it means they are continuing the production of new 2080ti (and non-ti ?) today rather than make 3xxx :/

Pointless, as no game uses more than 8 gig of Vram.

Jas39Grippen:

You can name 4 that use over 8 GB of Vram? well done, that certainly justifies 16GB of Vram and all the extra costs associated with it 🙂
4K+ and all eye candy set to max with this years triple A games that are not bad console ports, question is how little of a difference it will make, since memory bandwith and speed also has it's impact. None the less, will be interesting to see a comparison review of this cars, won't even make sense to test and compare it at anything else but max.

Sure you can, After doing some research, the total number of pc games ever made comes out to 1,181,019. You can name 4 that use over 8 GB of Vram? well done, that certainly justifies 16GB of Vram and all the extra costs associated with it 🙂
Depends at what resolution you play any game at... V-Ram is mostly associated with that consideration in mind. Jack up that resolution and there will be mad amounts of V-Ram required. 30"IR on youtube can show you how a 24gb RTX Titan in SLI is struggling at 8k in this department 18+GB being used.

Out of curiosity, how did you come up with the idea that this GPU has 16GB of VRAM?

You're not sure what this is talking about are you? It's the throughput of the memory not the SIZE. Still 11GB.
