Can't wait to see the 1660 TI vs 2060 in row performance. if it's close enough it will maybe the one for me 🙂

I'm guessing that it'll be between the 980 Ti and the 1070, somewhere around that. I'm pretty curious about its power consumption though.

I don't have high hopes because of the rumored price but I really hope this card will surprise me....

If it is priced below Vega 56 (as it should be), count me in. Let's see.

it's not going to be faster than Vega 56.... probably around GTX 1070

Yeah. When it comes to price, the rumored MSRP is $280.

Rx590 can be found at 250$ and have more vram. Used 1070 can be found cheaper also have more vram with similiar performance. These non-rt turing cards dosnt sound appealing at all.

Where I live the GTX 1070 costs the same as the RTX 2060 (380€), the RX 590 costs 285€ and is considerably weaker than the 1070 (and that's without mentioning the obscene power consumption for a mid range card), so for me, if the 1660 Ti ends up costing around 300€~325€, that's pretty appealing. Where I live, the only good option from AMD at this price is the Vega 56 (325€), but I rather sacrifice performance a bit for a card that needs far less power...

1660 non-Ti will be faster than gtx 1060 and rx590. 1660 Ti will be faster than gtx 1070 but slower than 1070ti/vega56. So it is the best mid range gpu, realistically lower tier price, consumption and temperatures. Less hardware means even lower thermal and wattage than the already great rtx2060.

Where are you getting 1660 non ti will be faster than 590? Its the same spec as 1060 so its only turing vs pascal arch difference, probably only 10-15% faster actually similiar to 590 at best with again less vram.

RTX 2060 shouldn't win or be equal to 1070ti and go so close to 1080 in many titles. It is the whole package. Rx590 is just an oc'ed 580. Gtx 1660 could also oc by the way.

RX590 is kinda inferior compared to 1070GTX ... I have an RX580 (1475 MHz on the core) and its like 30-35% slower that 1070 GTX (not OC) the difference between RX580 and RX590 is maybe 5-10% or less ... I was dreaming with RX580 8GB how I can run 1440p and my dreams where heavily crushed had to go to medium and low settings with low framerates... Then I bought an used 1070GTX and OCed it around +100-150 MHz and the performace difference that I saw was "huge" for me allowing me to play my games at 1440p with high settings and some ultra here and there. In my opinion RX580/RX590 are comparable to 1060 6GB and thats about it... I'm not a fanboy and I own a lot of older cards from team red and green. (1060 3GB, 1060 6GB, RX580 8GB, 980GTX, 680GTX and a 5870 and 4790 + some really old ones like 8800GTS 320MB and XT1600 and so on). 1160 will be a great card if priced right. If it matches or goes above 1070 performance and the price will be similar to RX590 I will recommend it to anyone in need of a middle segment card. Since these cards perform at around 50-60-70 fps in modern titles a difference of 25-30% is quite big ... 10-15 fps can make something very playable or not playable at all ... It's more hard to get the right choices in the "middle" segment because none of the cards are really powerful ... if you go high end it doesnt really matter 20 fps here and there but where you are on the edge of graphical goodness and playability it matters the most.

The TFLOP on RX580 is similar to 1070GTX and still the performance difference is quite big. I'm really tired of seeing AMD being good on paper and in real life performance getting mucked all over again by team green. I've bought a lot of cards like I said in my previous post from both and somehow I was most of the times disappointed with my red's cards performance in most of the titles. For example I got the RX580 when I had an 1060 3GB and I was hoping for a nice performance bump in GTA 5 ... well think again it didn't happen ... it was worse ! It was partially my fault because I didn't look for specific benchmarks and went only with the specs ... again wrong ... So my opinion on this is: 1160 faster than RX580/RX590 and slower than 1070GTX/Vega56 1160TI faster than all cards above except Vega56 that will be a tie.

You are deluding yourselfs. Even 580 is beating 1060 in every new game, it will take a 1660/ti to compete with polaris lol. Like i said RE, Anthem even Metro :

1060 is getting smashed in latest games, 580 is a 10-20% faster. Take a look a this difference in Anthem and RE2. 1660 will be here soon to compete with 580 lol 😉 https://i.postimg.cc/sxt5ZCCf/Untitled.png https://i.postimg.cc/7hbN2NC9/Untitled2.png

Yes, and biggest difference (for me) between 1060 and RX-480/580/590 (take your pick) is that any combination of these AMD cards can be had with 8GBs ram and do Crossfire up to D3d11, and of course multi-GPU in D3d12. There's really no sense in buying something as obviously stunted and limited as a 1060--I can't see it, really. nVidia might have concluded it would push its customers to a 1070 to cripple the 1060 in these ways, but it certainly seems as though it might push them to AMD, instead...! For roughly the same money, the AMD GPUs offer much more. I also have to be honest and say that these images of what is supposedly a brand-new nVidia GPU look underwhelming and utterly photochopped to me...;) It looks really "beat up", if you know what I mean--that's why it is difficult to accept these shots as accurate. Maybe these products exist right now somewhere in the retailer channel, but I don't think these are actual images of the finished retail product. I've seen engineering samples look better.

I wouldn't recommend anyone to buy a 1060 either, the 1660 and 1660 Ti are about to replace the 1060 in the market, after all.

LoL... 1st) GPU is rather large 2nd) PCB has traces and places for 2 additional memory chips because it is same board used for uncut version of chip 3) Expect full version ... with 8GB and unlocked SMs

It would be strange to have 1660 with 8gb and 2060 with 6gb so i dont think thats gonna be the case. Now this is more likely : https://wccftech.com/nvidia-geforce-gtx-1660-ti-3gb-vram-rumor-die-shot-leak/

There's rumors that the 1660 Ti still has tensor cores, just no RT cores.

Maybe it could be using the same PCB as the 2060 and 2070?

That's possibility. @Undying : And maybe there will be variant with 256bit memory bus. Maybe 4GB GDDR5 at lower clock to have similar bandwidth as 6GB GDDR6 variant.
