Not much difference as expected, wish nvidia would release the 20xx series

So...RX570 is a faster and cheaper card to get. Good game Nvidia, good game.

Sorry but was this product rebadged as GeForce GTX 2060 ?

It surprises me that this card is even slower than 570.

No, but given that it bring even less that the "580" i was expecting the community to be outraged, but it seems only amd gets that treatment.. not by you HH btw

Why would the community get outraged? The entire outrage behind the 500 series rebrand is the rename itself. If AMD launched a 480+ card with all the 500 series changes no one would care. It's the rebranding that causes confusion. I literally just put together a Ryzen system with 1700 and RX480 (the one I talked about just the other day) and the kid asked me like two days ago why I didn't go with the RX580. I said "because you aren't finding the card at the price I got the 480 for and it's basically the same card" and the very next question was "why is it the same card, isn't it a new series?". And that's the reason why I hate rebrands - including when Nvidia does it.

True^ OT: but people who invested in the 980ti 2 years ago are really getting there money's worth/ one bad a** card still.

What are you talking about? If you are talking about rebadge, this isn't a rebadge, it's quite literally an updated card GTX 1060 vs GTX 1060+

The problem with the 580 is it's supposed to be their highest end card, and look at it, it's a rebadged very low performing card, that luckily AMD understands this and priced it correctly, but why even get people hyped up for the 500 series only to give them what they had before but "slightly" better? That's what peope are outraged about. The amount of generations that AMD likes to rehash is complete nonsense I mean, there's GCN 1st Generation products in the 500 series If AMD wishes to not have so much outrage, they need to create a generation with only vega architecture, and nothing else. No more older generation cards mixed in with the current ones at least for one generation, and then from then on, only have one immediate previous generation (not 3 generations prior) mixed in every so often, and NOT the whole fricken generation other then their high end card. I don't want to see vega get released and only their highest end be Gen 5 with the rest being Gen 4, that'll outrage people still. Not understanding what i'm saying? 200 Series has: Terascale 2 GCN 1 GCN 2 GCN 3 300 series has: GCN 1 GCN 2 GCN 3 400 series has GCN1 GCN2 GCN4 500 series (so far) GCN1 GCN4 it's 2017, and AMD is still releasing "new" GPUs from 2012 Yes, both sides rebrand, and it generally pisses people off, but what happens generally every other generation on Nvidias side(and i don't believe has ever been an entire generation of rebrands), happens every single generation on AMD, with multiple generation rebrands within that generation.

Why are you asking dumb questions? This card isn't a re-brand. Are you aware how notorious AMD is for re-branding cards? Example GCN 1.0 had 4 re-brands. 79xx> 8xxx OEM market > 280x > 380x Advertised as high end products that went through 4 re-brands and advertised as 'new' products which frankly is tiresome and annoying. Now they are re-branding a product that's been out for less than a year. I get re-branding low end parts but come on, these are just stupid tactics.

But this is not what this review is telling us. comparing MSI GTX 1060 GAMING X PLUS and Sapphire RX 570 Nitro at 1440 based on Guru3d review: 11 games are faster on 1060, 1 game is equal and only 2 games are faster on 570. I wonder why you think 570 is faster?!

QFT. RX580/570 one of the useless rebrands ever , you can even update the bios. Not mention power efficiency is as bad as was on nvidia(FERMI?!) the time HD48xx was released ..Maybe they are not as hot but it's pretty bad compared to nvidia offering now. Says the one who had been with AMD since HD4870 till HD7970. But i always go with better product , and nvidia has better product right now there is no denying that , even AMD can offer better performance/$ ratio , for me there are other things to be considered also. And even more disgusting, GCN 1 architecture has been in 6 generations of products 7000>8000>200>300>400>500 Seriously, what nonsense is this. Imagine the outrage if Intel was still releasing Sandy Bridge CPUs as new, today?

Also check how it's been with 7000 series, my previous card 🙂 (which still can play most games on decent level 1080p).
https://tpucdn.com/reviews/AMD/HD_7970/images/perfwatt_1920.gif
580 is actually a better improvement over the 480!
It surprises me that this card is even slower than 570.
I know right? Was expecting it to be at least 5 to 10 frames faster over the original.

1060 is a very nice card but it really is overpriced.

As 100% of nvidia line up, but hey: they can.

A 1060 6GB non reference costs $210-220 whereas the cheapest 480/580 is $235. Differences are 2GB less vram(doesn't matter for a 1080P card), twice the performance per watt, less heat and noise. Considering on average 1060 is faster than 480, explain exactly how it's overpriced? If it's overpriced than 480s are blatant ripoffs. To answer your question, they are trade offs. 480 does better in some games, 1060 in others.
