They really saturated the market with this curved nonsense. It's nearly impossible to find a good flat panel these days. Having briefly owned a 27" curved monitor I didn't see any benefit of it at all. I suppose if one enjoys the sensation of being inside of a fishbowl, then I guess it'd be amazing.

I personally didn't try any, but I can see why there are curved displays: on big screens I can notice the edges aren't as sharp looking as the centre because of the angle light is travelling to my eyes. The curvature is supposed to help with that. That said, those really curved displays (R1800) have an optimum viewing distance, if you wanna sit back you lose out the experience. With 16:9 displays I personally think it makes absolutely no sense for it to be curved. Ultra wides, on the other hand, I feel a R3000 curve is almost necessary. I think this will be out of fashion eventually, just like 3D, just like virtual reality.
