Personally, I like Windows 11, sure some bugs here and there, however, overall I like the refreshed look and some gaming features (Auto HDR is nice, when it works...)

Windows 10 – Good Windows 11 - Bad Windows 12 – Good ?

Since W11 is so popular they decided to ''improve it'' and call it W12 :P Good, if UI will be ok then I will gladly switch from W9 oh sorry I meant W10

What about windows 10 being the final windows?
It was just one MS developer by himself/herself saying it on some reddit post what he/she thought might be the way. Not an official stance. Someone just took it as a fact what MS is planning and it escalated very quickly.

Its Pluton and I call bunko on this whole article.

Yeah, been reading about Pluton lately. Can supplement TPM or replace it as a firmware updatable chip embedded in CPUs. Windows 11 will support it in new PCs and devices coming out soon this year. Not sure why some think it needs a new OS.

Majority of people barely understand how to use windows and there phone and tablets. it highly unlikely they gona want be bother to learn linux or one of it many incarnations. Enthusiast forums and people on them are minority here

Years ago switched laptop and desktop to Manjaro KDE and haven't looked back. A small drive holds W10 just for World of Tanks. The only game that the developer refuses to do bit job to make it work on Linux properly, and I do not have it on Steam to use Proton.

It does tick me off a lot that Microsoft lied and said Win10 was going to be the last version of Windows released. However, so long as they continue to offer free upgrades to the "next version" of Windows past Win10, it's not so bad. Really wish they'd simply have called it Windows [the year A.D.], like Windows 2020, etc. Then, when they updated they could add decimals, like Win2020 1.24, etc. But, as I say, no harm done if the updates are free, imo. I think the "pluto" requirement is just a guess, as it seems way too early for that. That should come as a patch, anyway, imo, as hardware takes much longer to proliferate in the user base than software.

I don't think one random microsoft developer at a technical conference constitutes as Microsoft itself saying Windows 10 was going to be the last version of Windows released. There was no formal announcement of that. It was just an off the cuff comment. I'd blame the tech media for running with stories. This article for example - the original source already said it was a joke but you see it all over the internet with most places offering no update that it's a false story.
