What about windows 10 being the final windows?

Windows that requires an internet bound account to "sign in"... aka "use" is a Windows I will not use for any reason ever.

...the only reason I can fathom for this, would be a recruitment drive of some kind?

More likely just a continuation of 11 developing. Someone hoping to generate clicks called it 12. Doubt anyone at MS would even ponder calling it 12 this early on.

Completely new substructure, nothing from other OS...
Bugs... Lots of bugs!

As far as I understand, Microsoft never said Windows 10 was going to be "the last version".
It was an interpretation by online media that Microsoft conveniently never corrected.
Common practice actually (No Man's sky was a great example of it).
However, Microsoft starting development of Win12 when Win11 has not even properly launched is... scary. Win11 has been mentioned to have issues. Win10 had issues for a while as well.
So now we are ... what? updating Win10, fixing and updating Win11 and starting Win12?
That sounds like mobile gaming not an OS.

Okey, so that means Win 11 is the one to skip.. like ME, Vista and 8/8.1 ?

I think we are going to see MS trend towards rolling out Windows versions more often.
Lots to $$ to be made, especially with businesses.

W11 isn't halfway done, feel like a beta of what would eventually be W10.
It is also a solid NO for me about theses subscription OS and softwares.
