With a price like that, it's only meant for professional applications where it will increase productivity enough to compensate. Most certainly not meant for Pokemon Go, unless you are an oil prince from Middle East.

That's true but with minuscule user base it will have poor support by any SW. It's a nice gimmick, but I don't think that something priced like that can really succeed. We can look into past at i.e. wifi, it had competitors that were technically superior, but the price of wifi outcompeted all.

Electro shock to head? Anyway, just seeing this price tag tells me that it is not meant for consumers, entertainment, daily gadget for masses. Maybe when price falls down to range of expensive Cellphones...

They have a contract with the American military for the technology that might have something to do with it.

Did you see any gaming? It's not for games or consumers in general. The hololens has become a professional gadget for industries.

I just ordered two in case one broke. Lol Hopefully the R&D done on these things trickles down into future retail vr and helps it evolve.

I never claimed it is for games, I said it would require SW support and I'm skeptical that with small user base there will be any. However, if you claim that it has already become a professional tool, then please do tell where it is actually used.

Good, because for a price like that it has to run RTX post processing with 60fps+ over the real world image or I won't buy it.
