IMHO the windows 10 start menu is the best one to date ! Remove everything from there and add only your own things !
thats not how you spell worst, the all programs menu is a nightmare with a single folder level for subfolders.

@Venix i agree i think startmenu for win10 is best now. why remove thing and functions that made it that good is beyond me, and seriously dont care to have use 3rd party programs to bring that stuff back. I dont get MS 1 step foward 2 step back crap they start it with 8, fixed with 10 then seem to want try win8 thing again. The lest MS could do give use the OPTION to have that look still instead forced feed changed that didnt need to be change in first place they seem to like to do. no more live tiles which my uncles uses on his system any more change liek cant change size of taskbar size ? among other change too last i heard,I like pining my games to starmenu and pick small tile and leave or the startbar. all screen shot of win11 startbar menu i seen i didnt like. maybe I will try VM of win11 at some point but i dont gona install it over win10 on my system, and my uncle does not want 11 on his systems either good thing all our systems dont meet security requirements to install them. it would require me to make iso with rufus with that stuff disabled and install it which i not gona do anyway way, MS would reinvent the wheel if they could then force feed the change, they just havent fiqure out how yet...

What's better in that case, StartAllBack or Start11?
StarAllBack is absolutely excellent. It's so good that it feels like native feature. It even loads faster and uses fewer resources than MS's taskbar 😀

Here's my latest Windows 11 experience. This is a new gaming pc build and I went with Windows 11 as it was released in October 2021. Plenty of time to get the major bugs worked out, or so you would think. Today's date is Feburary 2, 2023. When trying to resolve this situation last night, it felt like I was transported back to Vista in 2007. Here's the rundown of what happened and how it has been "fixed". On any other MS operating system over the last decade, when you launch a game for the first time you usually get the MS Firewall notice that asks wether you want to allow or block the app. Well, Windows 11 stopped asking me for Firewall permissions and could not launch any game. History of Events; Built the pc and updated BIOS, chipset drivers, gpu, sound codec and W11. This pc did ask for Firewall permission twice using a 1050 ti gpu. Don't think the gpu is involved but stating for total clarification. Once to play Hell Let Loose through Steam and World of Tanks through Wargaming. MS W11 updates were on "pause 1week" setting. No additonal update was available at that time. Removed GTX 1550 TI Installed RTX 4070 TI and drivers Launched Steam and tried to launch Hell Let Loose, no connection. Not listed on Firewall permissions. Tried all the suggestion from Google searches that date back to 2021 with W11. None worked except one of the oldest suggestions on the issue. Find the game or app .exe file. Right click and go to properties Set Compatability Mode to Windows 8, yes you read that correctly, not a typo, it is the year 2023 Set Run as Administrator I then laucned Hell Let Loose and viola, the Firewall access notification popped up on the screen to allow access. Had the same issue with World of Warships not launching but Wot would. Campatability Mode and Run as Admin...voila. I was in total shock and disbelief that Windows 11 still suffers from this issue well over a year after release?

Theres not actually any correlation between these two things, the windows firewall does not block the starting of games, rather the firewall popup not presenting itself is a symptom of the same reason the games won't start, since the firewall dialog is rundll based. this does sound like a case of the UAC dialog not working though, rather than the firewall, which usually happens when the CryptSvc has been restarted without Explorer.exe also being restarted.
