That's all fine and well, but I still have a problem with start, when I need to logout/login again for the start to open. Hope they did something about it, as it's really annoying.

Not leaving anniversary enterprise until they fix the massive game bar induced game stuttering.

I've found Build 1709 fixes a lot of issues in Windows 10 specially performance issues on older systems. I've only had one system come in that 1709 caused problems on, but doing a Return to Previous Build then doing the update again resolved it.

Offtopic as well: using Logitech Setpoint perhaps? That caused a similar issue on my rig, but there are several workarounds floating around the Internet.

Yeah, the 1709 is actually better in overall, i.e. It really helped with BF1 stuttering and added quite a few fps in some maps.

Nope, nothing like that. It hanges on some plug and play instalation service, that I have to shut down each time when I do relog. I search around a bit, but it really seems that some people just have this bug and have no permanent solution.

i dont want it i set it to defer it for 180 days like week or 2 ago, on both mine and my dads pc, his surface already has it and once it reboots it will be isntalled

I'm skipping this one untill the next big update, because of:
Starting with Windows 10 build 17040: Based on your feedback, the feature to restore applications that have registered for application restart after you reboot or shutdown (through power options available on the Start Menu and various other locations) has been set to only occur for users that have enabled β€œUse my sign-in info to automatically finish setting my device after an update or restart” in the Privacy section under Sign-in Options Settings.

Well I guess with a larger group of users beta testing now they will finally knock out those last few bugs.
this is a joke
or is it.

I tried it 3 months ago and had tons of stuttering on bf1 and random drops on gta 5. Went back to 1607 and everything was fine again. Did something change?

I tried installing this update twice during testing - both times rendered my non-system HDD's unusable, marking them as RAW drives... Luckly you could revert and it fixed the issue, but I don't like the idea of trying again and getting the same issue...

And I actually went back to win7, seems more stable.

I always had problems with W10 until I used WU disabler. I've since moved to LTSB and made a custom ISO with Winreducer. It looks very bare bones at it's 8 gig install footprint but all I use it for is gaming and VR and it has helped a lot. PCMark 10 score is up, my minimum frame rates don't have any drastic drops at all and everything feels a little sharper. It's also predictable for a change. With Home and it's updates, I might get 8 seconds boot up time one day, it might be 10 or 18 seconds the next day or I may have some issue in SteamVR where the dashboard won't display or home button suddenly does nothing...just little things like that. But now it's 8 second boot up every single time and the OS is just as I left it the day prior, software and games are consistent, none of those random occasional click on start menu and there's a pause BS. I think LTSB should be a normal SKU available to consumers.

hmm for me W10 1709 is the best of Windows nowaday however need a little of knwoledge starting with changes in ISO for those that know are doing and principaly how to configure correctly OS inside your critical areas; still I think that the best improvement is related updates and LTSB at least for me is simply one facing page πŸ˜‰:D

I have a positive attitude towards everything.but for Windows 10 , I was completely disappointed with Microsoft. I know Windows 10 has a lot of systems, such as Windows 10 Home ,Professional, Enterprise,Education and more , i updated Win 7 to Windows 10 Home ,But unfortunately,The computer crashed.i have tried reset it ,Maybe my skills are limited. But when I reinstalled a new version of Windows 10, there were a lot of problems,To be honest, it's not perfect for Windows 7.

Hi Mamkser first Welcome to guru3d πŸ™‚, I think that yous are wrong sorry Windows 7 no doubt is one fantastic OS of course but things change and evolute too so following this reasoning I again speak same that I post #17 then you only need learn in trusted sources (here is one place) for reach and use new Windows 10 1709 at least for me is very fast/stable no bsod's/issues Build and no simply speak that Windows 10 is crap because is not true only request use of inteligence patience and love for all that you make is only my 2 cents πŸ˜‰
https://forums.guru3d.com/data/avatars/m/209/209401.jpg
is it crap on some systems. like mine. start menu/search task stops responding. clean install not fixing it. slower task manager and sometimes stops responding. plus microsoft forcing patches down people throats in windows. a lest with windows 7, I can tell the system not to install these recent patches. also windows 10 seems to be breaking records for having most reinstalls/clean install. windows 7 is blazing fast on my system.. I noticed that in windows 10 superfetch goes crazy after logging into the system and I cant do anything for almost 10 minutes because its usage is too high.

^^ yay so good luck with your OS until 2020 πŸ˜€still severals issues in W10 is easy to solve is very simple only quest search sometimes Google is your friend πŸ˜‰
