I suppose it means 10%. The "5" is on the same key as "%" (using shift) on ANSI keyboard that we use in The Netherlands. 10% is a lot though.

105 is nothing...;) But you meant ~10,500, I'm sure. Intel lays off batches of 10k employees every few years--then hires them back, later. The layoffs always make the "news," but the rehires seldom do.
