That's a nice looking speaker.

Nice to see an affordable option early on. I'm sure MS realizes that not everyone has, can get, or intends to get a 4K display. Besides, I'm sure they're going to have a lot of binned chips, so this is probably just one way to make use of the defective ones.

Cute and much smaller than the X version, something very important for some. I hope Sony is preparing a mini version of the upcoming PS5.

Looks like a bluetooth speaker yes. This could mean that the original Xbox Series X is 499-599 EUR.

512gbs isn't enough 🙁

Looking good. I think 512Gb is fine, we have 2 AAA a year that release around 100Gb, a bunch of 20-30gb and a lot more around 5Gb or less.

my two most played games are Forza 7 and Forza Horizon 4. Both of them are into the 100GB mark. I can't imagine FH5 and F8 to be smaller. That leaves about 150 for a "big game" like RDR2 and a handful of small ones.

How else are they going to sell their proprietary SSD's?

I remember a time where 300$ wasn't even the price of a 500Gb SSD 😱

Always have been, i do'nt know how many years it'll take both Sony and Microsoft to turn a profit for this generation.

The way I see it, it's CoDs fault. 220GB game with constant 30-40GB patches.

yeah then there's that game too. I have a 4 tb external on my first gen Xbone and even it is getting a bit cramped. I guess I need to treat my video game ADD or something.

Holy crap, cod is 220gb?! Hopefully it's a game to be played on PC with mouse and keyboard 😀

Thats the point, they sell external drives and they also have that online gaming service you can pay for so the game isn't even installed on your system

Well, at least on PC but I assume it's something similar on console 🙂 https://i.imgur.com/9b3SJhF.png

Do not like the black circle at all, would be better if it matched the colour of the console. The price is great but there's no disc drive so that helps keeps costs down but surely this should have a 1 TB SSD? 512 GB is simply not enough for a digital only console. Of course, Microsoft will be selling proprietary external SSDs at a premium, no doubt, which anyone who buys this console will surely need? I mean if Call of Duty is already 150 GB now then that is almost one-third of the space used on this machine because it will not have 512 GB free but some like 400 GB after the operating system and reserved space.

Typically they are when the new consoles launch, but as the consoles mature over their lifespan they become very profitable. With the extended lifespans of the consoles they have been profitable for years. Revisions like this update the hardware on the inside to more profitable building methods. edit- Unless they are Nintendo and refuse to sell anything at a margin loss so even day 1 systems releases are at worst are margin neutral to positive.
