EA don't need exclusive IP's to sell a console though do they lol. It only makes sense for Microsoft to buy whats popular as thats the one area they lacked last generation compared to PS and buying all these game devs and IP's helps them alot. Microsoft is far worse for the DRM and xbox/windows store crap though

Currently waiting for the Anti-Trust law suit to follow.

The big issue I see is that MS will push their gamepass and will eventually opt out of selling games directly. On the other hand they at least cater to the PC audience and not just consoles. By that I mean that they release titles on both PC and consoles and at the same time at that, because their UWP platform is pretty terrible otherwise.

Grow in what??? Let's hope that not in a big headache for everybody... In a way it makes sense...a game producer famous for buggy games bought by a company famous for buggy software.

Nadella again! He burnt 10 billion on Nokia and destroyed it. Now history repeats! And as with all CEO, like locust, will switch company...

There isn't very many AAA studios left to buy. EA would cost too much even for Microsoft.

If Microsoft bought Bethesda, now Doom will use DX12 instead of vulkan and they will ditch id software?

Sega is even worth buying, as all they make are mobile games nowadays.

Valve?
They want game making studios, Valve barely qualifies any more

Why does that sound like a threat?

No Japanese company will sell to Microsoft, so that leaves very little in regard to big titles that would be a success on the Xbox/PC.

At the end of the day it's just asset stripping, EA have been doing it for years so why make your own product when you can just buy up the competition.

Anti-trust laws work on monopolies. Like Valve.

Why would they "send away" the most talented engineers they just got? They don't give a crap about Vulkan vs DX12, the only thing they want is their store everywhere, and after that Windows (maybe).

Isn't Sony and Nintendo Japan based? US doesn't care about screwing non-US comoanies.

Not surprising. They need exclusives to compete against Sony and that´s the only way to have them...

Sega next up, and i won't say no to Sega's back cat appearing again, i will take a return of Outrun and Sega Rally in a hearbeat.

Nothing Sega has is going to be smash hit, which got them in to financial trouble in the first place. Lazy ports, unfinished, buggy Sonic games.
