Sounds amazing. Personally am a big fan of books. Besides Two main books - Metro 2033 / 2034, there is a whole span of various other novels written in same universe and approved by author. A very nice reading, which covers various countries. This makes me happy to see that that they finally went out of Moscow and plan to explore the world. From this point various games can be brought up to us, which operate in same universe, however different characters and locations. Lore is flexible, and so is the universe. Would be happy to see future sequels not only from perspective of Artyom, but as well hopefully other characters. There is one book I really liked from English author which takes place in post nuclear UK, quite the reading. London was devastated but not it's underground, and the environment that people live in is horrid. But won't spoil the story for you, read it yourself. ๐Ÿ™‚ Anyways, looking forward to this game!

@cryohellinc Did you forgot about 2035 ? ๐Ÿ˜‰ I have read the whole trilogy and some spinof stories, so far all are great. Exodus looks like the end of 2035 or what's happen later, awaiting for it impatiently ...

Yes and the 2035, forgot it for some reason. Indeed it does, however Games so far while "following" the books, don't really follow them too closely. There are many differences, and I don't blame the game authors as the path they follow is better suited for game itself.

I like the idea of it being more "open worldy" since the first two were pretty much "follow the line" run-throughs. It could be the next "Stalker-like" if its very open worldy, with weapon/armour mods etc... Looking forward to it. ๐Ÿ™‚

While this looks absolutely amazing, all of it is scripted, and will not be and like this in the final game. At best, we can hope for the graphics to be on par, but I have my doubts about that as well. Way to many E3 trailers are designed to show off, rather than provide an actual snapshot of what the game will be like.

I hope they release it for Linux like they did with Metro Redux (but DRM-free on GOG). And yes the trailer is obviously scripted and animated much better than what the final game will be.

I'm a big fan of the Metro games but I'm slightly worried if they're going to keep pumping these out for easy cash, and make them lose their novelty. The story of the first game is a lot of what made it so good. Last Light's story was just ok, but that game was still just very well-done overall. Personally, I don't think there's a whole lot they can do to improve gameplay mechanics, and the graphics of the older games are still good even by today's standards. I'm hoping Exodus won't have a bland story with just a bump up in graphical detail and more monsters. And I agree with Raplapla - Linux versions would be nice.

The outside of destroyed town & underground looks promising. ๐Ÿ™‚ Without the gas mask the world is nice.
