Beware that this is just marketing. This $600 mainboard is nothing special. It's not even actually built for LN2. There are far cheaper options. It's a good board, but not $600 kind of good. [youtube=Y4s1gQVPGlY]

Pretty sure DerB8uer and co used an ASUS board to get a better overclocking than this one. [youtube=UtXM71tw5fk] and has per Buildzoid, he would not recommend this board for extreme overcloking. (Not sure he would even recommend it for anything 🙂 ) [youtube=Y4s1gQVPGlY]

had nothing but problems when i had gigabyte boards in the past, tend to stick with asus now even though their support is dire, at least their hardware is stable. Im not overly fussed for how it OC's on LN2, id prefer real world.

So... How many watts under load? Or does it freeze under load?

From what I've heard from TTL (OC3D) is that a lot of Gigabyte motherboards suffer from overheating VRMs, but he seemed to like the MEG (Ace) in particular.

Hey how many of you are using LN to overlock to 7.47 ghz?:D

I won't be overclocking my 9900K (there is no need for it). Planning to mount a Phanteks PH-TC14PE cpu cooler on it.

All this Ln2 overclocking talk. It's like putting your Corvette on a rocket sled saying you got your Corvette to go 310 m.p.h. . 🙄Big wgaff? There is barely any overhead on the 9900 to overclock anyway. Intel has basically overclocked the Coffee Lake cpu to the hilt and rebranded it a 9900k. Smoke and mirrors and don't look behind the curtain!

I have been through several rock solid Gigas myself. But the last one croaked. Now I carry water for Asus :P Gigabyte, MSI, Asus, Asrock... statistically there is not much difference among them when it comes to probability of M/B dying (RMA) What happens is... from time to time a bad hombre model gets released >5% RMA, dragging down entire brand and giving rise to RMA %. Hardware.fr used to publish RMA surveys; sadly they are no more
