Nice review and now I want to buy this game and grab a pair of 7970 cards.

Strange is that HD 6000 series performance is so bad...
Must have gone Cysis2 with the tessellation.

looks like I can max the game at 1080p and have enough vram on my cards.

Thanks, great as always.

It doesn't use tessellation at all, bf3 only uses it on terrain (heavily on the ak maps) but mohw doesn't even use it for that.

2600k @ stock speeds? Our test setup is based on Intel X58 (MSI Big bang XPower) with 6 GB of DDR3 ( Corsair 1600 MHz) memory. The processor is a Core i7 965 clocked at 3750 MHz. This system is an equivalent to a Core i7 2600 K processor, to the frame precisely actually.

That's odd wonder why it's so taxing on the 6xxx AMD cards BF3 was not that bad on them.

probably stock 2600k at 3.4, its a bit faster clock for clock than than a i7 965

I will maybe look in direction of the 12.11 driver. or just the optimisation for the game with HD6000.. Maybe even just one setting can be the cause, HBAO or something else. I will not recommend the 12.11 beta for other cards of the HD7000 series, Its a beta/preview driver, not a final one, and optimisation was really specific for GCN. Im not even sure it contain any optimisation made for old series card on his actual treatment. Need more information too about what specific graphic tech is used in the game engine.
Depth Bounds Test Extension The depth bounds extension is used in Medal of Honor Warfighterâ„¢ when rendering the deferred lighting. It uses the depth bounds test which is part of the GCN architecture. This allows the game to specify a range of acceptable depth values, and anything outside this range is instantly rejected, saving the cost of a full depth compare. Tile-based Deferred Shading Medal of Honor Warfighterâ„¢ uses the Frostbite 2 Tile-based Deferred Shading. This technique breaks up the screen into tiles and uses a DX11 compute shader to determine what lights are used in each of the tiles. By using a compute shader to cull the lights that are not used in a tile, lighting calculations can be done much faster, and more lights can be used overall in the scene.

kinda weird because i get 50+fps in bf3 @ 1600x1200 moh must hate 6xxx lol

Thats my thoughts exactly when I had my 6950 in my rig 1920x1080 all ultra 910/1415 OC i could hold about 50 constant on stock setting mid 40's. Wonder what would happen if the test were ran again with 12.4 on the 6xxx cards.

Great review!! I enjoyed it & looking forward to this game. How well does anyone think 2 GTX 560 Ti's in SLI will do at 1920x1080?

I'm really impressed, this game can handle perfectly with 4 gpus. The GPU Usage is around 90%+ in most of time even with "low resolution" as 1920x1080! Getting around 200 fps.

Now you need 200Hz monitor 😀 I'm playing at 1920x1200 everything but MSAA maxed, to get constant 60fps. The game is actually pretty good. There are only 2 major issues grpahics-wise 1. Camera movement is kinda awkward in some moments in single player. 2. Low-res textures hurt. They could go with far less complex shaders, but with high-res textures for PC, and the graphics would be better, and smoother at the same time.

I just have to say they really need to add 7970 crossfire to this list if there going to put a 690 on here

Too bad the game itself is so bad.

Remember opinions are like a**holes. Of what I've played of it I like it so different strokes for different folks.
