Hope the recommended is for 4k.
Looking forward to this as want to replay without getting distracted by mods etc... not particularly happy with the price or that there is no discount for owners of the originals.
I do not like the word reboot being used...what I do like is a brand new produced triology including totally up to date 2021 graphics, a new continuing story and a game developed taking full advantage of all the upcoming new 11th and 12th generation hardware. Simply featuring new shaders, modelling and textures has the smell of a quick '$$$ grab and go' from Bioware.
Let's be sure that any "remaster or remake" is easy and quickly accomplished by any game studio. About a 100-times faster versus a fullfledged game development with storyboard, writers, actors, original music, cinematics, etc. And infinitely cheaper and more profitable. Thus the great Bioware temptation and essentially reaching one more time into the gamers pocket for a quick steal under the glory of an old 2007 based gaming release.
Alot of technology has happen in almost 15-years and as they say on the streets: "It's very difficult to shine a turd after all this time!" For Bioware developing a brand new "Mass Effect" triology is probably a given impossibility, as our friend Chris Roberts working on Star Citizen has already blown $300 million to date on the same kind of space bound sandbox.
Hope the recommended is for 4k.

To be fair, the games are over 10 years old (well, almost 9 in 3's case), I highly doubt they'd give a discount regardless of what they did. They're giving us 3 full games and all of their DLC for $60 that is "remastered." My biggest gripe with it is the lack of 3's MP, had a lot of fun times there.
I pre-ordered it simply because I love the series, and have been itching for a playthrough without having to use mods.
