that looks like some poorly optimized craftsmanship, what with the abysmal fps in UHD...
Then again I could be mistaken, but signs point to that imho.

You could had avoided the trouble tho and had shorten it to something like:
"You need a Titan X Pascal to play the game at 1080p@60FPS"

Marketing ppl at Nvidia are geniuses labelling their cards: GTX 1080 is THE GPU to play "optimized" games like QB or Mafia III on PC at REAL 1080/60 (no upscaling, no FPS cap).

WHAT 1080 56fps OMG come on this just isn't right at all , the game must be so poorly optimized ,, its a joke , years of developing and they push out this turd.

Aaaand we found this year's crapiest port, so we can hopefully relax now. The suspense who is going to crap the bed the most was killing me.
The devs deserve all the refunds they can get.

One more game "optimized" by nvidia.
It is clear that this is one of the ways they are trying to hurt competition, no SLI no Crossfire, so that only their best GPU can get acceptable frame-rate.
You need 1300Euros GPU if you want to play new game with old generation graphics.
Almost 2017 and we still have new AAA games on DX11, why? Nvidia knows that they are better at DX11.
Consoles are not hurting PC games, nvidia is.
So yeah, go ahead and buy their products and their sponsored games.

If your game only runs over 60 fps on a $1200 card at a lowly 1080p resolution, it deserves to fail on the platform. I hope pc gamers are refunding this en masse, this is just disgraceful.

BS. This is completely on the devs totally f**king-up big time. Mafia 3 isn't even being advertised by Nvidia, certainly not a front-page game like GOW4.
If anything, this game is developed with AMD console hardware in-mind, so, the abysmal performance is down to optimisations on crappy AMD hardware with those optimisations not translating to PC, not even on AMD cards.
This game is the new Quantum Break as far as performance goes with what looks like "drag n drop" porting.

We should expect game dev to release a new PC patch and advertising it as performance "optimization": downgrading the already mediocre graphics via settings tricks to reach 60 fps on almost all GPUs.
