I really thought that by 2017 everybody still using trackballs would have died of old age.

i assure you kid, we are still here, alive and kicking! and we are not THAT OLD!!!...although most of the pros moved to 3d mice, "again, check 3Dconnexion" they tend to keep the old trackball around and use it frequently.

Interesting design. I'm glad to see Logitech still trying new trackball layouts. I wish some day, that someone in Logitech's R&D dept. would find and re-introduce the SpaceOrb 360 game controller - that in my opinion, was the absolute best pc game controller ever made! Logitech bought out the company (Spacetec IMC) back in the late 90's or early 2000's. Spacetec IMC developed the SpaceOrb 360 in the mid to late 90's. Just after they bought the company, Logitech promised they would continue supporting it, but after about 6 months, they dropped their commitment to it. I feel this product is locked away somewhere in Logitech's archives - very sad really. Here's a link on Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SpaceOrb_360

Still have an old ps/2 trackman marble in my desk; my introduction to trackballs. Through time I went with Kensington though, and own several expert & orbit trackballs. They're great: always at the same place, never out of moving space, and perfectly fits large workspaces (3600x1920, tri 24"). I just forget it's there; it's a direct brain-to-cursor interface.

Trackballs are great for those lazy times in bed or on the sofa watching movies / gaming etc I still use an old wireless Logitech Cordless Trackman Marble, but it's old tracking tech is hopeless at keeping up with fast movements, so really looking forward to an upgrade soon 🙂

Dude, I'm 42, don't assume people are young just because you don't like them.

Dude, i'ts not that i don't like you, well now a days i don't like most of the people, maybe i am getting old 🙄, but seriously just because some old tech dose not appeal to you, those who use it should be dead?!.. i found it kinda offensive. and you should get it as a complement, i will take any comment as a good one even sarcasm ,if it may suggest i am younger than my actual age 😛
