Yep, no PC speakers I've heard can come close to Hi-Fi separates. AV receiver + bookshelf speakers + sub basically converts your PC audio into a home theater rig. Everything, incl gaming becomes much bigger, more impact. Not to mention decent bookshelf speakers will almost always have a superior frequency response to PC speakers.

How did you manage the placement of 8 speakers? 🙂 I remembered having a 5.1 system and although I had a corner table at that time, the left front/rear were not that far from each other 🙂
