They really want to push DP and HDMI though, I could see this for a high end card.
If that's the case there's no chance I'd be buying one, as my 1440p Dell Ultrasharp screen only supports that res using DVI. Only displays 1080p using HDMI

There isnt a display port on that monitor?

I have seen DP to DVI adapters. I have no experience with them, so no idea if they work well or not.

Can we guys be just exited for new AMD card? This indeed looks promising and by looking at specs it can deliver. People are far to green this days...
A lot of people like hopping bandwagons when suits them to which ever brand is on top. And I dont think a CGI rendering will be the final say in how this card will look. Until it is finally released no one will really know.

The adapters are usually just plug and play. I find it hard to imagine your 1440p monitor only has a DVI port. What make is it?

Water Cooling is so 2000.

Didn't think of that, it's because I've never used display port. So yea it does have that:cheers: I presume it would allow 1440p, I don't know a lot about DP, all I know is HDMI won't allow me to use 1440p with this screen.

@Hilbert,pls replace the image of the card taken from that toxic site, they are like Ebola to hardware world. Here you have a better image of the card! http://a.disquscdn.com/uploads/mediaembed/images/2023/217/original.jpg
Looks cool but I'd rather have one with just the water block and no radiator. I already have a full case and I don't need another one. Plus it could help reduce the cost a little.

For compute based applications it is going to beat the Titan X. For games that rely heavily on fragment shader effects, it will still beat out the Titan X.
Proof?

Display port (1.3) can do 4k at 120hz at 24bit color, and 4k 96hz at 30 bit color.

Fijis probably the 490X now, as the 300 series are OEM only from what i can gather.

it could be the other 5870 HD .... it made AMd on the top

Fiji could be the 390X, as retails are also 300 series.

Yes but my monitor probably isn't DP 1.3, so in the end I still don't know what res it supports. I'd have to search the specs, but I'm sure others who have the same monitor said it can only do 2560x1440 using DVI. I'll have a look at some point. Same as HDMI, it only supports 1080p for this screen as its not the newest version, it must only be 1.2.

DP 1.2 is fine for 1440. Will do 4k at 60hz.

I remember reading somewhere that the 390X may be a dual GPU card. Is there any truth to this?
