considering the sheer density of the pins at the connector it was probably done for flexibility the idea being the cables are able to do a 90 ish degree bend putting the streamer bits towards the front. sleaving the cables pretty much always makes them more rigid and less willing to take tight turns (unless you use paracord or something wich just looks messy after a year or so) and with the added bulk of the streamer bits it would need to be able to take a tight turn to not run in to side pannel interference.. but i've never found any streamer product to look good though once installed i've seen some pretty nice builds.

Not new. Only the application of RGB to the new ATX 3.0 cable is new. RGB insanity knows no limits, we'll see more of it, I'm sure.

waits for the day all the chips and capacitor and all that stuff are RGBifed ( sarcasim) if they actual do that then then all lost plot of all this stuff functionality of cosmetics
