The rankings for 2018 mark the 16th consecutive year that TrendForce has placed Kingston in the top spot.
Always had the impression Kingston was amongst the top module suppliers, just didnt expect their share of the market was that pervasive.
“While Kingston considers TrendForce’s estimates overly generous, it nonetheless follows the trajectory of the company’s growth in all of its business segments,” said Mike Mohney, DRAM business manager, Kingston.
LOL, even they seem surprised by the figures.

Gskill, Corsair, et al are mainly niche performance segment.

"leading third-party supplier of DRAM modules" Guess this means the DRAM modules as packages which are then assembled onto devices or DIMMs, etc.by other manufacturers like G.Skill, etc

Holy crap I wasn't expecting that; any of that. I had no idea they were so huge, I'm surprised how to see so many brands I don't recognize, and even more surprised not seeing brands I would recognize.

Assuming that's true, Kingston would still be waaaay in front. Cherry picked results aren't typically that drastically different.

While maybe not the fastest modules they are stable enough for prebuild computers, which leads to Kingston being on top of that list. In my experience Kingston modules always work out of the box, had modules from other companies that required some tweaking to run at advertised speeds. So for a no frill mission critical setup the so called gaming modules are a no go.
