I would like to inform the ill informed that my post about needing 8gb vram was joke. There are no official specs avaible at thi s time from what ive googled. I was mearly poking fun at all the crappy ports of late.
Hilarious, this must be the best and most successful joke I've seen on this forum. Props to you, sir xD

When was the last demo you've played? Mine dates back to 2005, SWAT IV
A few weeks ago, The Evil Within. A great demo, even let's you continue where you left off if you buy the full game. Demos make it easier to make your mind up, i bought JC2 because of a great demo and the last game i pre-ordered (Batman AA) was done because of a great demo, and also the first game i ever paid for on Steam.

So then why don't AMD/Nvidia find a way when using SLICROSSFIRE to use VRAM on both cards DUUUUUUUH! I don't understand why they never implemented this in the first place? Two 290/780Ti 4GB = 8GB VRAM? Imagine if you could do that with say 6XX/7XXX series cards as well... They still haven't come up with the idea for using your old cards (when you upgrade) alongside your new one for AA/AF so your main card can deal with everything else... Must be something put in the water, to make us more stupid, but it doesn't work on some...

I have a GTX 690 and this bother me too, plus it's described as a 4gb card everywhere, but it's actually only 2gb. Using memory of both cards would be a very great things for SLI, games starting to be very demanding on vram =/

The problem is that both gpus often need exactly the same data to render the scene. If the data that gpu1 needs is stored on gpu2 and vice versa this can introduce huge bandwidth and performance issues, since the data has to travel back and forth each time. For that reason both gpus have to carry a mirror image of the data with them.
