I demand a pyramid-shaped PC case next!
I want a Sphinx.

1. It takes up a lot more space than necessary 2. It makes installation and operation more difficult 3. Can't put anything on top of it 4. Looks like severely choked for airflow, with only those tiny notches on the sides for intake. 5. Front panel easy to scratch if something drops on it ( a vertical one would not since you can't drop something on a surface which is vertical ) 6. Good luck finding a replacement if anything breaks from it ! 7. Probably very expensive due to the unusual shape Please tell me one real ADVANTAGE that this shape offers, other than the "this looks cool !"
We already have a lot of computer parts made for aesthetics so a lot of people would like to make it like a piece of art. Having it "look cool" can be a big thing to some. I already consider my relatively plain looking PC to be like an art piece for my room, I'd gladly buy a more dramatic case if they were readily available for reasonable prices. I never buy one because I never found one that could fit everything I currently do in my full tower. But for those who don't want to make their PC a work of art... yeah it's an expensive waste of space. But by that logic you might as well build the smallest PC which fits your needs in a plain black 6 sided polygon.

I wouldn't use it and they clearly put the ports on the wrong place (this is a case to expose on your desk so it should have the ports and switches at the bottom) but it does look nice if you want something out of a sci-fi movie edit : scratch that didn't realize it was an unusable showroom piece with fans behind glass panels..too bad

I thought I had seen this case somewhere before. Thanks @SamuelL421 for reminding me where I saw it last.
TR03 is a high-end ATX case developed based on triangular elements
Sooo.... The Alienware Area 51 case qualifies as "triangular elements" now?

This rant made my day.
Thanks for posting most of my thoughts for me. Saved me the effort of doing it myself. Now I only have to cover what's above.

The Laughing Ma:

Does it come with the magic power supply that provides power to the components despite having no leads plugged in to it? Cause if that's the case Iam buying one... saying that It's different and I like it so who knows, maybe for my next PC.
No it doesn't run on free energy, but that would be cool, like in a sci fi movie... thing glowing on itself as it pulls energy out of the "ether"

Why did they ever stop producing the Tj07, the greatest case ever made.

I think it is interesting. I maybe not be buying it... but it's interesting.

Meh, kinda ugly IMO. But that's the thing with cases, they are subjective. I love the Lian-Li PC-011 Dynamic and I grantee there are a few on this site that hate it.
