I was always fond of Iron Man when I was kid. I think Disney are doing him justice so far. Yep, looks good!

Guy Pearce as Extremis engineer in credits *check* The Mandarin as a terrorist group leader unleashing "something" *check* Tony Stark in hospital on the table *check* All iron man movies have a kickass armor at the end *check* I WILL JIZZ IN MY PANTS AT THE END WHEN THE ARMOR EXITS FROM ROBERT DOWNEY JR's BODY AND WRAPS AROUND HIM!!!! oh for people who didn't read the comics (i did not but i am a geek) http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/d/d4/IronManV5-1.jpg "After being critically injured during a battle with a nanotech-enhanced foe, Stark injected his nervous system with a modified techno-organic virus to save his own life. This fused Stark's armor to his body, allowing him to store the inner layers of the Iron Man armor in the hollows of his bones as well as control it through direct brain impulses. The Extremis enhancement has turned Stark into a cyborg, whereby the usage of his existing lockchip (a personal area networking implement implanted in his forearm) is directly integrated into his nervous system. His new armor is no longer a bulky unit which houses its own AI "response server" and miscellaneous interfaces for neural control. Instead, it is more lightweight (constructed of a pliable crystalline material with a molecular structure that can collimate into super-hard planes upon the application of an electrical field) and less complex (as it interfaces directly to Stark's brain via the Extremis-modified cybernetic connections), and has much faster response time since it effectively functions like Stark's second skin."

Out of all the Marvel movies I always loved Iron Man the best, in part because Robert Downey Jr. is a brilliant actor but also because his portrayal of Tony Stark makes the character much more interesting than most superheroes.

While I am pumped for this movie, love the Iron Man movies their are a few things that worry me. 1). 20 minutes in to The Avengers you see that Stark and Pots are finally having some sort of proper relationship. Knowing that the Marvel Universe was going to roll on I was actually sitting there thinking PLEASE do not us Pepper Pots as some sort of bargaining chip or damsel in distress in future movies. Seeing that's exactly what they have done is annoying. 2). The nano tech and extremis thing is just taking it too far. The Ironman suit as it is is great needing Jarvis having it construct around him it is still fantastical but almost plausible. The whole nano armour skin contained within his body and controlled directly by his brain just takes it a little too far in to the realm of fantastical. Saying that depends how they deal with these two points and I am still looking forward to this film.

Guy Pearce used to be in a lot of movies a long time ago. Then I swear he just dropped off the face of the planet. And now all of a sudden he seems to be in every movie. Not that it's a bad thing. Always thought he was pretty good. This should be good movie though.
