Browser use is all down to what your used to, if you have a semi-decent PC then they are all the same speed.
I used Firefox for about 5 years, then tried out Chrome and after a few months i got rid of Firefox and just have Chrome now, ny GF still uses Firefox though.
Obviously IE is there as a backup so nice that IE10 is coming out on W7.

Opera, my favorite browser on pc and phone 😀
my mom on the other hand is a big fan of Safari since she's an Apple maniac lol
i still got IE 8.0 with all security updates installed just in case, i never use IE, that's why i never updated to 9.0 nor planning to do so with 10.
will update only if absolutely required by my games and apps.

For me chrome is too minimalistic, I don't even like the new ff look (with that one button/tab) so I use the classic.

The only browser to which version numbers actually mean something 🤓

Here are some nice notes on why firefox's memory usage has gone downhill really fast and how they are trying to fix (read keep under control) this disaster lol.
I could include some hilarious quotes, just to laugh at (yes, i'm horribly negatively biased towards firefox xD), but I'll restrain myself from doing that :P
lol ^^

Yay! IE 10 was the only real thing I was impressed with during my tryout of Windows 8. I was already looking for it to install as IE9 pisses me off sometimes with its startup bug, though it hasn't been impacting me lately for some reason.
Anywho, I found IE10 to be stupid fast during my usage.. looking forward to switching to this. As much as I dislike MS for many reasons, I am an IE fanboy 😳

when it comes to browsers, everyone can defend their favorite, but the truth of the matter is.. we can only go with what works best for us. 😉
speed alone means nothing if stability and security is poor.
stability alone means nothing if speed and security is poor.
security alone means nothing if speed and stability is poor.
hence the compromise, there isn't a single browser that is 100% secure, 100% fast and 100% stable, developers try their best but in the end they'll end up sacrificing one thing for the other, even religion applies those principles, you must sacrifice something in order to gain something (eg. renounce your pr0n addiction and go to paradise).
what about Nvidia/Ati? sometimes they release drivers that fixed a leak that caused a game to crash but many gamers also might find that the framerate of the game (or other games) has taken a nose dive in the process, that's the rule of the game, sacrifice, it applies to everything, life, browsers, games.. it sucks but that's how it is lol
as such best thing to do is to pick a browser that works best for you and enjoy it without claiming a winner, when it comes to browsers, there isn't one..
unlike vga cards which has a clear winner *hint hint* GTX-690 http://i.imgur.com/S4uSo.png

Firefox 16.0.1 and just about every version since 3.x has sucked in performance. IE6/7 were okay, didn't like 8 much, 9 is slick and I'm looking forward to 10.
Just wished I could have my bookmarks in IE appear like that in Firefox as it looks nice and is easier to manage...

when i see Adblock plus extension for it, then i may use it.

What is the reason they don't release it on Vista as well?
Vista isn't that different from Win7, and IE10 would have a potentially bigger userbase as well

The best feature they could probably implement is this;

I know, it is just funny how things change. It used to be light and fast but now it is quite the opposite.
