expensive king for a +5% of performance and for additional 100W ...

Yes yes... Release all those 9900 skus with KF/KFC/KS/KSI/Kxxxx. And also hoping the soon to be released cpu's from AMD spank some good butt too, so we poor ppl can get a nice and dirt cheap normal 9900K from Amazon or Ebay. Who knows, maybe even locally. π

Look! Intel Released FX-9590 5.0Ghz CPU! ... Oops sorry... It's 9900KS π

Well, this is only special if it overclocks better than the existing 9900K, because most people would be overclocking the 9900K right! If this 9900KS can run a 5Ghz all core clock at a lower voltage & lower power than 9900K, then that's a reason to have this because then you'd think you could overclock the 9900KS higher than the 9900K - if you can't then there's not much point to this 'new' CPU.

Hmmm... most 9900k already can hit 5Ghz easily on AIO ... Most likely a high binned cpu that will sell for a premium ~ $600-$700 US Dollars π ...

Real world TDP should be around 200W, enough as a small winter heater! XD

^^ Subtract 20% because,, and it's still looking pretty good, no?

Just wait until new vulnerabilities will be found out, and you'll have to reduce the speed from 5GHZ to 4GHZ and lower number of cores, or maybe turn on the PC without the CPU xD

@Noisiv As some perceptive people at anand pointed out intel was naughty again:
Ice Lake-U LPDDR4X-3733
Intel 8565U DDR4-2400
AMD 8GB DDR4-2400

A binned CPU... Lame!
Strange Times
what a joke
skylake strikes again

AMD fanboy's attacking Intel for these binned CPUs, yet..... didn't AMD just release a "Special Edition" binned CPU recently?
At least the Intel i9 9900KS Special Edition will have better performance Out of the Box than the Ryzen 7 2700X Special Edition. In fact, a Regular 9900K is better than 2700X special edition
