I guess this would be kinda joke if it was to come to Desktop...
Lately not only we don't see noticable imrovements with each new series, but due to its lower voltage requirements, chances would be on even lower perfomance than Sandy/Ivy/Haswell.
BLEH!
IIRC, Intel were having some issues with the 14 nm process.

Are the Z87 boards going to work with this after a BIOS update?

If this thing is end 2014 then skylake will be much later .. damn. I guess this is my most likely upgrade then.

Why PCI-E 2.0 and not 3.0?

Good news tbh, Haswell only just come out, would piss me off if I had to upgrade like a few months later already lol.

looks like I'll be staying on z77 for a while if I'm honest. this 2500k is turning out to be quite a bargain, getting great value out of it!

Well I kinda expected Haswell-E to be so late, but no one believed it 😉
Yes please.
Well that was the original plan, hopefully they're gonna stick to it or else!! :P

Broadwell is still LGA1150 and was originally planed to be Z87 compatible, just like IvyBridge is with older Z68 models
