yeah 5600x six core is 350 eur but it's intel who need a price drop
It can be appealing choice at 350$ just like 10700kf is now. Amd is faster they can charge whatever they want.

braindead.no further comment needed. go this way, you'll end up with a price premium every generation like nvidia. 10700kf is under 290eur now tho.

He is right tho. This is how supply and demand work. Ryzen 5000 is premium product now. With coffinlake Intel ensured that it stays that way.

Mediocre perf vs competition - heat - power - (expected) price = its dead in the water. Would have to be heavily discounted as buyers also have to factor in top notch cooling costs. Intel need to price it the same way AMD priced Bulldozer for it to take off.
You write as if AMD cpus are freely available and that they can produce enough of them. As if you were out of the loop. Unfortunately for consumers, Intel doesn't have to do anything, it will be the only line of CPUs not out of stock or inflated in price (~250 for 3600X, I got 3700X 10 months ago for ~$300, it's over $400 now if you can even find it.). Still, it is looking like previous (Intel) chips are better. But I doubt it. RL is new architecture. Time will tell.

for the corporation not for him dude it's funny how people put their favorite brand's economic interest over their own

If intel dont wake by the time zen4 is ready it can be a game over.

I hope my 5600X can live for long as Zen3 will be expensive even in 2 years... So no cheap upgrade to 5800/5900X

AMD weathered several years of inferior CPUs and survived. Intel is massively bigger, financially stronger than AMD by far. They will easily survive this.

thats not how "supply and demand" works Supply and demand works the way its written

9900KS is still faster while having the slowest RAM in the test ha Don't even mention Ryzen 5800..

The way this works is you charge as much as you can for as long as you can and only drop the price when needed. Both AMD and Intel are easily clearing their stock at their chosen price points. They have no incentive to alter their pricing. Intel can get away with inferior CPUs while demand continues to outstrip supply. They will still relatively comfortably weather this temporary setback. Now, if and when the market changes they still don't have a truly competitive part - that's when we can start worrying. As the decade preceding Zen has shown, this will lead to both stagnation and exorbitant prices for mediocre chips.

The real problem is not whether Intel will survive and of course it will survive it is a colossal company but to become competitive we do not want Amd to become the new Intel unless you like to buy the new processors at the graphics card prices

Amd is already new intel. Look at the prices.

Now I know why they named it Rocket Lake!....hot as a rocket/ needs a lake to keep it cool.

Assuming AMD just sits idle and releases the same thing 10 years in a row ... remember Intel quad cores? The only reason AMD was able to catch up and overtake Intel in performance is because Intel stagnated for way, way too long, due to their internal corporate mess. No, it is not the same situation. AMD will continue to push forward even if they are already performance leader, market leader, everything leader, they won't just "wait and see". Definitely not, as long as Lisa Su is at the helm...

Lets just hope it will not be as bad when intel was in the lead. 6800x beating everything could be a 600$ cpu.
