Damn the 13400 costs less than the 5900x, slighty beats it in both single core and multi core and uses less power too. If this had come out last year it would have been a major hit. Still a good buy today too.

The difference in Cinebench is probably due to the 13400 having 4 E-cores, and the 12400 having none. Still, a nice improvement, making it one of the best value CPUs in the market.

Is 13400 based on raptor lake or is this revamped alder lake chip that the lower end models gonna be?.

This is the first Intel CPU that has got me kinda excited since Broadwell. It's not that impressive, but I'm really disinterested in this awful GHz pissing contest between Intel and AMD, because all it does is make these chips inefficient with highly variable performance. I want consistent performance at peak efficiency. Obviously I'll have to wait for reviews, but I suspect this chip can sustain performance for a while and have great performance-per-watt. However, it's still totally possible the 7700 non-X can suit me better, while having the option to overclock and a more optimized scheduler.

Wait for BCLK OC then decide. I thing gaming it would be a wash. Better to save more and put it to GPU.
