Good luck with that. I have 3200/14 b die and I've never gotten it stable above 3466/14 and is really only perfectly stable at 3400/14. This is on a 2700X/Crosshair VII Hero. GSkill has a 3600/15 kit but almost no one get it to run at that 3600/15 combo with a Ryzen systems. I'm very interested in how well the new Ryzen's memory controller performs. 3200/14=228 3600/15=240 4200/17=247 Like I said, good luck with that.

Are Kingston trying to distance themselves from their HyperX branding? I don't see Kingston anywhere on the product.

No need for luck 😉 I'm already running @ 4200 / 17 / 1.4V. It's also a Samsung 3200/14 (xmp) b-die kit. At one point I had it at 4300Mhz stable and tried 4400Mhz but then it wouldn't post, I wasn't prepared to spend more time tweaking things to see if I could get it to post and settled with 4200. This is on a 9900K and MSI MPG Z390. VCC voltages are between 1.15~1.18V. Yip, memory controller is the key...we (most people) have rather high expectations of the upcoming Ryzen CPUs. The 3600/15 kit doesn't have any AMD boards in the QVL list on the GSkill website, so I'm not surprised people can't get it to run. I would consider your 3400/14 clock to be more than decent for your 2700X. Your math makes no sense here...you suggest that 4200/17 is slower compared to 3200/14? 3200/14=228 3600/15=240 4200/17=247 ...I ran Aida memory benchmarks at stock XMP vs 4200/17, the memory bandwidth has gone up while the overall latency has been reduced (important), even with CAS latency @ 17.

In all my testing...I actually believe 3800 is the limit with the infinity fabric on zen+ aka the 2700X See my previous post.

Even if you do manage to run higher than 4000mhz stable on Ryzen, scaling kind of lowers above 3400mhz I believe.

Incorrect! As long as your CPU infinity fabric can scale it is it very different...and scales with it. Also running at 4000 ram speed requires extreme systems with liquid nitrogen cooling.

https://www.legitreviews.com/ddr4-memory-scaling-performance-with-ryzen-7-2700x-on-the-amd-x470-platform_205154 While the infinity fabric runs on the memory bus for Zen, scaling pretty much becomes nothing after 3200CL16. There's a limit to how much it will scale.
