in this particular game x64 could make quite a difference, GTA 4 was a memory hog, 5 should benefit from the extra that 64bit offers (if implemented right). if dx11 is implemented in order to improve performance and eyecandy, it's welcome.

It's like though, even if Rockstar Advanced Game Engine (RAGE) can do it, will they bother? Even with GTA IV being a crap port, the older ports weren't that great either. SA, Vice City, and GTA 3 even for their age, they didn't really get a lot of follow up patches cept those they include for when the game is so unplayable they can't even sell it on Steam anymore.

That's because back then, patches weren't really "the thing" to do, unlike nowadays where every single game has a patch. Also being first day player of Gta 3, vc and sa, I don't remember any problems that they had to patch the game for. any bugs were more "fun" than harm, like the swing sets in gta iv.

Exactly. They make great titles obviously, but been through enough of their bs. If I had a console I would definitely get gtav, but I prefer to not run a crappy port that comes out months after the console gets it.

hmm almost sounds like GTA IV and what it was supposed to have as well for PC...
