Just like pretty much everybody else, I didn't know this even existed. This service termination notice is actually the first time I heard about Google offering a VPN service. Which might explain the "Google noted a lack of sufficient user interest in the VPN service" part, lol.

It's a nice hack; create a new service, collect as much data as possible, delete the service, cross reference against known data warehouse for other services
