...Which begs the question to Asus - what, exactly, is the issue customers should be aware of with the original, and very expensive, Zenith II and 3990X that a second board had to be released? Does the first board not support the 3990X fully ? Should customers be concerned about full support for future drop-in CPU's? - AMD did specify an upgrade pathway for the new sTRX40 beyond the current 3 releases.

The alpha boards were reinforced for world record overclocking, nothing more.

Is there any trx40 board that doesn't fully support the 3990x? I mean, they are all 280w pieces right? So whats not to support here?
