Dammit, it's getting harder and harder to avoid the temptation of putting together a console sized monster HTPC/Gaming box for the big screen TV in the living room. Must resist, must resist....

It's pretty nice man...It's a little older now but in its prime, my Alienware Alpha console was awesome for 720-1080p gaming. I still use it for some games and to stream games to over a 1gbp internal connection. 😀 But this does make me want to build a new one...

WOW! How did they do it? No, I mean it - how did they shrink it so much? It is not a HBM card - where did they put everything? (and it is still smaller than FURY) Update: Ha-ha - just noticed - the card even has SLI connectors)) Just imagine these 2 cute puppies in a tiny case =)

Seriously is that you 1050? no way that's it's big brother the 1070 surely. It makes you wonder why the 1070 is so big in the first place.

I was thinking the same thing. It wouldn't surprise me if thermals aren't so great though. Personally, I'd much rather see a 1070 low profile GPU. There are Mini ITX towers out there that can fit a roughly 280mm GPU in them, but there aren't many decent GPUs that can fit in a low-profile case.

Yes this is what I'm screaming.

The thermals for a 970 mini is actually a bit cooler than the nvidia base card

These baby cards have been around forever at least since the gtx 670 it should be easier now with the lower tdp

Ridiculous card. Looks nice, but, I suspect they'll throttle just like past "little cards".

Likely, they won't keep that boost for long when it gets hot.

I'm wondering now if it's a possibility of Nvidia creating a dual gpu single pcb card since they are doing away with 3-4way sli. Maybe there's a chance of a 1090 using two 1070's.

They could technically do it no probs, but, demand hasn't been there for those products in the past, so, I'm saying unlikely.

I have serious doubts that we'll be seeing a dual-GPU single-PCB card again anytime soon, from both AMD and nvidia. Unless we see more support from developers (in DX12 especially), even 2way is questionable at this point.
