I wouldn't go with Gigabyte ever again... O.K., its fans do work well and keep the card as cool as possible ( 3 fans what else would you expect ), but the problem is Gigabyte is cherry-picking the lowest ASIC quality cards for some reason... Maybe they're cheaper and thus despite the fancy cooler, they're still able to offer the cards at the lower prices, I don't know and don't care why. Nevertheless, it's almost guaranteed your card will have less than 70% ASIC quality.

ASIC quality isn't a be all and end all of how well a product will overclock, it's just an indication. Not to mention that High / Low ASIC signifies different things, neither of which are necessarily bad depending on your cooling.

one of my 7970 Lightnings has a asic rating of 66%, and will bench air at 1325mhz:)

You need to sig this..gets old having to tell some that ASIC doesn't mean everything.
