I haven't had any major issues with my X570S Elite. It's paired with a 5800X3D & 16GBs 4000 CL 17.

i have two Gig boards (X570s Aero G, B650 Aero G) affected. as far as overall Gig build quality that is a worthwhile topic because 10 years ago i wouldn't touch them with a 10 foot Pole (or 7 foot Slovak 😛). mainly because they had a habit of re-spec'ing boards and changing parts after reviews and had ridiculuosly thin pcbs. in fact, that is what "Aorus" is all about. they had to re-brand and rehabilitate. and so far they've done a good job. they stole two purchases from MSI and Asus with me in the last three years. they stole me from a ROG crosshair on X570 when i bought the first of my Aero G's. as far as AM5 goes they are kicking ass and taking names with feature sets and connectivity. yeah i flashed both boards this a.m. all is well

Curious that the X570S are affected but the X570 are not. Either way, I think some of us have been around the block long enough to know from experience that no single motherboard manufacturer has a spotless record. From meltdowns and instabilities to glaring security flaws, every one of them has had issues.

I've had a couple of Gigabyte motherboards (dating back to the GA-X38 boards) and to me, personally, they have always been fine for stable, and decent overclocked operations (I have no experience with them on extreme overclocking). The latest board I currently have - the Z690 Auros Elite DDR4 is no exception, although the release bios did seem to be more stable at a higher overclock with LESS voltage... Anyway, I turn of these features on first (bios) boot anyway, as i always tend to tweak stuff from 1st boot - in my case this "feature" has been turned off in the bios since I got the board, and also after bios updates, I guess I am sort of safe :P On the other hand, I am never going to get a gigabyte GPU though, they all died on me (last one being a 980 Ti) within and -just- after warranty periods... but MoBo's all have been fine 🙂

Interesting. Only the X570S are affected, but my X570 Aorus Elite isn't. Not that I complain.

Has anyone checked the entire crop of ASUS boards as they also have this built into their BIOS with the Armory Crate software.

Agonist:

I tried 3 different ram kits, 2 cpus, and 2 power supplies. I could run both power supplies, all 3 ram kits, even overclocked. 4x8gb 3000 CL14, or 32gb 3600 CL18, with a 1600AF and it would be 100% stable overclocked @4.15 ghz. But my 5600x at stock with any combo, even XMP off would constant restart, undervolted, overclocked @ 4.75ghz 1.21v, etc. Got the ASUS board, and its been stable for over almost 2 years now and switching to a 5800x3d. my 5600x and old 32GB 3600 CL18 is running in an AsRock X370 perfectly now for 6 months. I just had bad luck with the gigabyte board and my setup. I loved board, I wish I still had it. The best overclocking X58 I ever had was a Gigabyte. Ive had 12 x58 since 2013. LOL
The SoC voltage runs high on mine which might have caused a problem which seems odd but higher SoC voltages cause stability issues sometimes. This is what I have dialed in on it.
