Way to late.

Way to late.
If Nvidia keeps the same schedule as with the 30 series then we could be looking at another quarter after the 4080 launches before the lower tier cards start to show up. If even the small 4080 is brushing 1k Euro they could still sell 3070s

They can make a million different variants, but unless the prices go way down, people will not buy them. Did you put your head too long in your oven Jensen ?

Trying to do everything to get rid of all those dies that NVIDIA sold them.too late now.

They are trying to get rid of all the overstock 30 series chips they have before 40 series launch. It was also stated that there should be some significant price cuts on 30 cards before 40 series launch.

I understand it's just that at this point everyone knows the 4xxx series is coming and are waiting for it. Very few people will buy right now. We have one of the biggest releases of tech this fall from Nvidia, AMD and Intel. Buying 2-year-old cards with new memory would be silly. The plain cheap 4060 should smoke this new 3070 Ti and cost a lot less.

He's been smoking too many leather jackets without a doubt. nVidia are way overdue for a reality check.

I am today years old that I learned a normal 3070 only has 8GB of memory... what the heck.

It's been an exceptionally long two years.

Sure is a LOT of old crypto chips lying around...

Perhaps I'm mistaken, but I thought that the GPU chip provided by Nvidia to an AIB also included the memory chips to be used, as well. And, I think this is true for AMD, too. *If* this is the case, it would indicate that the 16Gb 3070Ti is an officially sanctioned product, greenlighted at Nvidia HQ, and not simply not Gigabyte getting "creative." Has the cost of GDDR6X, which was, allegedly, always a bit pricey, dropped in the past few months?

4060 hardly beats 3060ti. weak just like 3060 was (2060 super equivalent) while 3060ti was like 2080 super (two sku's up between 3060 and 3060ti when compared to turing generation).

This can only mean 1 thing. A lot of the 4000 series is delayed. I think it will be only the 4090 that goes on sale this year.

Lets see. While I do know the 4060 will be a very cut down version, we are talking near 2x transistor density moving to TSMC's 4nm. The AD104 is rumored to have 7680 CUDA cores which is more than the 3070 ti. Anyhow we should know here in an hour.

Could be that it's the 4060 TI is AD104 but anyhow right around that low end should be a big jump even if you have to step into the TI vs plain 4060.
