Problem is that most UE3 games look too alike :P Teaser looks good but it's rare to see the final product even resemble these teasers and early trailers.

Same here, now if that teaser is rendered in UE3 I won't really care but as we all know this was most likely CGI and the game will be so much worse. Time will tell

Trailer is meh, it's mixed with real-life footage and CGI... I would have been impressed if they used the new Unreal engine, but UE3 while great for it's time is getting old.

What, like UE3 (or Frostbite etc.) are somehow NOT CGI? They are CGI engines, in that they are Computer Generated Imagery engines. So you suggest the game won't be CGI? Probably come with a free pack of pencils with which you can hand draw the game on your monitor?

What he means by CGI, and I see it the same way, are effects added in trailers/teasers to attract the viewer/potential customer, that do not reflect the image quality of the final product. It happened many times before...

Looks pretty good! After seeing what some douchebag has done to that girl, I'd be all set to blast anything that moves.

I think what they meant to say is its pre-rendered cgi and not realtime.

Didnt these guys use a new kind of technology that allowed real world envirment to be implemented in games? I remember seeing video's where they just showed the building thats in this trailer

the actual house looks just like that in the ingame engine. in other where they are demonstrating the engine with a flyby. but no idea about the animations. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oxLMOscTZRk The windows look awful. Else nice 😀 They are using 3D scanning.

I bet that would require truckload of VRAM if done in real-time game. 😀
